Cabinwood's Hondo Lane
DOB:
June 25. 2008
22"
Dark brown jack with sorrel highlights & black legs!
Dam's Pedigree
Sire's Pedigree
Sire: Ozark's Red
Sierra 32 3/4" Dark sorrel
Dam:
4-Z's Spitfire 31 1/2" Dark brown
Just when you think you've seen your
best donkey born, darn if another one
doesn't comes along and surprise you
again!!
Hondo is a real mixed bag of colors!
Like his half-brother Jake, he too has
the 4 coal black legs from the knees
down. His body coat is a dark brown with shades of sorrel here
and there. His face is dark with big
light eye-rings like his Mom's and
very heavy with sorrel highlights. In the
center of his forehead he sports a small
white star of hairs!!! This little guy
is another exceptional example of Red
Sierra's strong conformation and solid build combined with the colors
and great conformation of his
Dam 4-Z's Spitfire...obviously by his looks,
this is a truly
successful combination! Along with
his great conformation, Hondo has great
confidence and curiosity!!
Hondo comes with pedigree, excellent
conformation and extensive color
possibilities that will give any herd a
distinction of quality!

Cabinwood's "Guns" Donovan
(Gunny)
DOB:
June 18. 2008
20"
Dark sorrel jack
Dam's Pedigree
Sire's Pedigree
Sire: Ozark's Red
Sierra 32 3/4" Dark sorrel
Dam: KansAss
Laughlin's Star 34" Dark sorrel
Little Gunny came into this world a wee
bit too early. He may have started out
just a wee one in body but he sure made
up for it in attitude! After a week in
the barn with his Mom and a little extra
TLC, Gunny came into the pasture with
the rest of the herd with GUSTO! He is
still a little wobbly but he is growing
into that attitude fast and starting to
fill out very nicely!
This boy is full of energy, extremely
friendly, has great gum alignment, good
basic structure and a true sorrel like
his parents. He has a small star of
white hairs on his forehead like his
Mom.

Cabinwood's Big Jake
DOB:
June 18. 2008

1/2"
Dark Brn jack with black legs!
Dam's Pedigree
Sire's Pedigree
Sire: Ozark's Red
Sierra 32 3/4" Dark sorrel
Dam:
ASSphalt Acres Olivia 32" Dk Brown
Once
in awhile a foal comes along that all you have
to do is look at and you KNOW he is something
special. Big Jake was only a day old in these
pictures but already he
was poised and
postured for greatness!!!
His coloring is very striking with
all 4 legs from the knee down jet black
and his body then is a dark brown with
contrasting shades of brown/black. His
gums are perfect, legs all around are
straight and solid and he is so sure of
himself that the first day after
his birth he strutted right into the
pasture and announced his arrival! Red
Sierra has given us one fantastic boy
after another this year and Jake is the
best so far!!!!
Jake is very outgoing and friendly. Add
that to his excellent conformation,
strong pedigree, genetic color diversity
and you have one heck of an all around
great Jack!! Big
Jake will make someone an exceptional
herdsire!!

Secret Weapon is a model jack. Good natured
and a gentlemen with the ladies. He leads
and listens better than any donkey I have.
He has show quality conformation, good teeth
alignment and a great
sense of humor, too! The traffic cones and
jolly ball in my front pasture are all for
Weapon and they never stay in the same place
for very long! He also can be very
helpful with chores and will drag the muck bucket all
over his pasture when I am trying to clean
it!! He is quite the entertainer....but he
also can get his main job done. He has sired Thom-Ass Lucky Charm 6/12/07 , Thom-Ass
Pride & Joy 6/8/07, Windview Joker 7/15/07and
ASSphalt Acres Isabella 7/31/07.

Secret Weapon is heading to Lincoln,
Illinois!
Thank you Melissa Lee for purchasing
Secret Weapon to be your main herdsire!

**Frosted Spotted White 33"
Sire: GM Conrads Immortal 33 1/2"

I really struggled putting Ellie back on
this for sale page but we need the room for
some new arrivals, and hard as it is, we
just have to part with some even though they
are our favorites:^(
Ellie is a spunky girl! She has a fine set of
teeth and some good straight legs. She is
more of a delicate build than some folks
like but she is a strong and sturdy gal! She
presents herself with such great authority it's often hard to tell she’s not so
“meaty!” Her zebra striped mane is unique
and looks so pretty against her almost
completely white body. She delivered a
handsome black/brn roan jack in 2007 and is
being sold as “exposed” to our sorrel
herdsire Ozark Red Sierra for a late fall
2008 foal.
She is being offered alone or with our jack
Big Wood’s Secret Weapon (above) for a ready made
happy family.
~SOLD~
Ellie will be going to Illinois to keep
Weapon company!!
Thank You Melissa Lee for purchasing
Electra !!!

Little Duke is the first foal born at

with this little jack! This boy is a TANK and impressive in every way!
He has a solid and stocky build, excellent
conformation, good teeth alignment and
an attitude that combines a "look at me"
presence with the gentle and curious nature
these animals are loved for. All this
combined with a very full pedigree gives you
great herdsire potential in Cabinwood Farm's
premier foal of 2007!
Thanks and Congratulation to
Carol Donaldson of Hunters Creek Farm in

our very first foal of 2007. Duke will be living

Little BP was the first of two foals born on the
same day here at Cabinwood Farm! It certainly
was a day I'll remember with excitement for a
long time! BP is one very delicate and petite
little girl, but don't be fooled! This little
gal has enough red-haired attitude to hold her
own amongst the big boys!! She is the most
beautiful deep dark sable cherry brown color!!
She is a beauty and is named after two other
beauties... my Mother Bette and Al's Mother
Pauline! Both our Mom's said they never thought
they'd ever have a donkey named after them!
Thanks and Congratulation to Gary and Christine Shulman of
SV Farms in Novelty, OH on your purchase
of our beautiful little BP!
She is a lucky, lucky
girl!!! |
